The World Health Organisation is considering updating its guidance about the routine wearing of face masks to prevent the spread of the virus.

This comes off the back of recent research undertaken in America that shows that coughing can project small droplets up to six meters and that sneezing can go even further after eight meters now.

Previously, the World Health Organization detailed the infection can be spread to anyone up to a meter away, with the advice of the British government and many others being that two meters can be considered a safe distance – Scientists say wearing face masks could reduce the risk of infection and wearing of PPE especially Face Masks routinely can provide protection to all, through catching your cough within the mask, preventing the cough droplets from travelling such distances.
